TUDOR EXPLORERS
OUR PRESENTATIONS
We gathered information about tudor explorers and then worked in groups preparing presentations to show the rest of the class.
Eleanor's group found out about food aboard the ships, Ellen even made some ships biscuits for us to taste, we were surprised at how nice they tasted!
Chloe's group dressed Brandon up to show the sort of clothes the Sailors would have worn. He really looked the part!

Jake's group did a fantastic plan to show the different layers of a ship.

Lowrie's group acted out the jobs aboard the ships and we had to guess what they were. It was really interesting to find out that the Ship's Surgeon was also the Ship's Barber!

Amelie's group researched the life of Sir Francis Drake. He actually died on board his ship in 1596.

Matthew's group found some interesting information about various tools that were used to navigate the ship.

We had a fantastic Tudor day with Time Zone

MAKING CLOTHES FOR STIG

HABITATS

Friday 22nd March
Today Mr Brattle and some of his sixth form students from Solihull School visited us and brought some animals for us to look at. We were able to hold and touch some of them.

Circuits and Conductors
These are the Christmas Decorations we made, they all have flashing lights in them.

Do you like our clowns? Can you see which part is lighting up?

We had to come up with scheme to attach the circuit to the back of a clown picture, the bulb needed to light up either an eye or the nose.

We had to work out how to make a switch using some of the following items:
a peg, paper clips, blu-tac, cardboard, split pins and tin foil.
